Entrepreneurial Capacity-building for Sport: internet Web Solutions joined the online Kick-Off Meeting of ENDURANCE
On November 5th 2020, (name of your organisation) joined the online Kick-Off Meeting of ENDURANCE, a Project co-funded by the Erasmus Plus Programme of the European Commission, which brings together eight Partners from seven countries (Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Finland, Italy, Slovakia and Spain). The KOM, originally planned in Bratislava, Slovakia, was held in online mode due to COVID-19 restrictions.
Links between sports & entrepreneurship are manifold, yet seldom recognized and rarely capitalized upon. The two are rarely found together in VET as effectively connected domains with synergic links: hence the need for much-needed entrepreneurial competences due to low EE in sports-oriented disciplines and lack of tailored entrepreneurship training. ENDURANCE “rethinks” the teaching and learning of entrepreneurship based on the complementarities and commonalities between sport and entrepreneurship, such as determination, perseverance, self-confidence, stamina, respect of rules, team play, self-reliance, competition, success/failure, etc.
ENDURANCE’s objective is to reignite entrepreneurial spirit and modernize the way entrepreneurship is tackled in VET and to:
- Map dynamics of sports and entrepreneurship, common traits and links for sustainable careers for learners in VET and sport systems
- Develop ENDURANCE entrepreneurship custom-made training and tools
- Establish online interactive OER platform for ENDURANCE training (virtual and blended-learning)
- Sustain results and promote their uptake in VET and sport ecosystems
- Advance the entrepreneurship and sport discourse at policy level with the ENDURANCE Green Paper
During the meeting, the consortium discussed about the overall project implementation schedule, defining timelines and respective duties in the following months. In particular, the partnership will upload the OER platform by the end of 2020: the ENDURANCE official website will represent a repository of project’s outputs, results, news and contacts. A mapping activity will follow in order to identify the main trends, issues, best practices and policy support systems in the countries represented in the Consortium. In particular, partners will be focused on finding commonalities between sport and entrepreneurship. This mapping activity will culminate in a final report that will be available online by July 2021.
IWS will be the IT partner involved in the project, responsible for the developing ENDURANCE OER platform, that will be available 24-7 for all the duration of the project and beyond. The platform will host all the deliverables and the intellectual outputs produced in the 7 official languages. Moreover, IWS will follow and implement each steps of the project that links sport and entrepreneurship.
