The VOICE project by Internet Web Solutions has been recognized as a nominee for the XXI Premios Málaga Voluntaria, a prestigious award that celebrates and recognizes outstanding volunteer work and community engagement in Málaga. The awards, promoted by the Area of Citizen Participation of the City of Málaga, honor individuals, collectives, companies, and organizations whose voluntary efforts have made a meaningful impact within the local community.

The Premios Málaga Voluntaria take place annually in the lead-up to International Volunteer Day and aim to highlight the essential contributions of volunteer initiatives across multiple categories, from social support to sustainability and digital inclusion.

IWS submitted the VOICE project as a candidate for this year’s awards, recognizing the social and volunteer-driven dimension of the initiative. VOICE focuses on supporting Ukrainian refugees through tailored training, digital skills development and community engagement aimed at facilitating their integration into the labor market and society. The project mobilizes volunteers and partners to empower participants with professional skills, confidence, and supportive networks.

Representatives from IWS attended the award gala, held at the historic Teatro Cervantes in Málaga. The event brought together inspiring volunteers, community leaders, local organizations, and civic authorities to celebrate civic engagement and solidarity. Although VOICE did not receive an award in this edition, IWS was honored to participate among the many impactful initiatives shortlisted this year.

The XXI Premios Málaga Voluntaria serves as a reminder of the power of volunteer action to transform lives, foster inclusion and cooperation, and strengthen the social fabric of the city.
