As part of its mission to promote inclusion, active citizenship and intercultural understanding, the Erasmus+ project UNITY EUROPE has launched an innovative educational card game aimed at young migrants and youth groups across Europe.

This gamified tool is designed to help young people explore the values, rights, cultures and diversity of Europe in a fun, interactive, and educational way.

The Unity Europe Card Game invites players to:

  • Answer EU-themed trivia questions
  • Reflect on real-life challenges like discrimination, online hate, or cultural misunderstandings
  • Make choices that earn or lose points based on empathy, respect, and responsibility
  • Learn by playing through scenarios involving inclusion, active citizenship, and intercultural encounters

Players move through the game by choosing avatars, rolling dice, and drawing cards with multiple categories:
🔹 Trivia (e.g. EU institutions, geography, values)
🔹 Glossary (EU and social concepts)
🔹 Challenges (real-life moral dilemmas)
🔹 Action Cards (promoting participation and solidarity)
🔹 Intercultural Encounters
🔹 Chance Cards (life events affecting gameplay)

Developed as part of Work Package 3 (WP3), the card game complements the UNITY EUROPE training material by introducing non-formal learning and group reflection into educational settings. It is ideal for schools, youth centres, and intercultural workshops, and fully adaptable to different group sizes and languages.

The game can be play

ed directly online through the project platform, where a free printable version is also available. Accessible in multiple languages, it is ready for everyone to enjoy.
