The University of “G. d’Annunzio” at EUROCALL 2026 with Findings from a Study on the VOICE Project

1

The Department of Modern Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of “G. d’Annunzio” participated in EUROCALL 2026, the annual European conference dedicated to technology-enhanced language learning, commonly known as Computer-Assisted Language Learning (CALL). As part of the conference programme, the poster entitled “Evaluating the VOICE multilingual OER platform: Vocational Opportunities and Integration for Refugee Community Empowerment” was presented on the findings of a study conducted within the framework of the VOICE project by Mariapia D’Angelo, Luciana Forti, Filippo Samuele and Claudia Tersilla.

The study assesses the suitability and effectiveness of the VOICE e-learning modules, investigating how users’ perceived usability of the OER platform varies according to nationality group, level of language proficiency, and individual training modules. Preliminary findings indicate that differences in language proficiency levels do not significantly affect users’ perception of the platform’s usability, which was overall rated positively.

This is an encouraging result for the VOICE project and for the OER platform, which will remain freely accessible for three years following the end of the project, while dissemination activities continue at the European level.
