On the occasion of the first edition of the BIP – Blended Intensive Programme titled “Language Testing for the Teaching of Italian as L2”, on September 9, 2025, the “G. d’Annunzio” University of Chieti-Pescara, as the organizing institution of the programme, presented the VOICE project – “Vocational Opportunities and Integration for Refugee Community Empowerment” to a large audience of Erasmus students from various European countries at its Pescara campus.
Characterized by an innovative pedagogical approach, the blended intensive programme combined lessons with online learning and cooperation activities and a week of in-person workshops in the city of Pescara. This allowed professors and students from universities and polytechnic institutes in Portugal, Romania, Germany, France, Poland, Hungary, and Croatia to enrich their academic and professional paths through meaningful cultural and linguistic exchange.
The involved institutions were: ISMAT – Instituto Superior Manuel Teixeira Gomes, IPCB – Instituto Politécnico de Castelo Branco, “Stefan cel Mare” University of Suceava, Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iasi, Karlsruhe University of Applied Sciences (HKA), University of Rouen Normandy, University of Warsaw, University of Debrecen, and University of Zadar.
The meeting proved to be valuable in illustrating the goals and future steps of the project, as well as its potential and positive impact, introducing it to other European realities, including countries such as Poland, Germany, Hungary, and Romania, which are particularly exposed to the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine and are highly active in hosting Ukrainian refugees.
