February 23, 2026, Málaga, Spain – The SELF project (Solo Entrepreneurship in Post-pandemic Europe), coordinated by the University of Málaga (UMA), has been featured on the national Spanish radio network Onda Cero, in its Málaga local broadcast.
During the interview, Germán Gémar, project coordinator and Professor at the University of Málaga, presented the objectives, achievements, and social impact of the SELF project, highlighting its contribution to fostering entrepreneurial competences and supporting solo self-employment across Europe.
The radio programme focused on the importance of equipping students, graduates, and young professionals with practical entrepreneurial skills aligned with the European EntreComp framework. The interview emphasized that SELF provides a fully free, open-access digital training programme available through its online platform.

Key Messages from the Interview

Innovative Training Model (WP3) – SELF has developed seven training modules structured as micro-credentials, designed to strengthen entrepreneurial competences such as initiative, creativity, financial literacy, opportunity recognition, and sustainable value creation.
Digital OER Platform (WP4) – The project’s digital warehouse offers interactive content, self-assessment tools, and competence certification. The platform ensures accessibility and multilingual availability across partner countries.
European Collaboration – The SELF consortium brings together universities, training providers, and European organisations from multiple countries, working jointly to map trends in solo entrepreneurship (WP2) and transform research findings into practical educational resources.
Open and Free Access – All materials developed within the project are available as Open Educational Resources (OER), ensuring broad dissemination and long-term sustainability beyond the project lifetime.

The radio appearance contributes significantly to enhancing the visibility and societal impact of the SELF project at national and European level.
